Totally, for external drives and fresh install, this change makes total sense and "improved".I would expect that this "new naming scheme" is seen as an improvement, and you have to live with it for once.
So issue may be more specific to the "Dude Edition" since it has what perhaps looks like "external storage", but isn't.Sequentially assigning names like "disk1" probably caused problems for others, e.g. when they plugged in a USB stick and rebooted.
See on the RB1100AHx4+Dude, it's actually the included, built-in SSD disk from Mikrotik... That, not here, but could, have a running dude instance that referenced "disk1", etc. On a clean install this make sense, but perhaps some special handling for the RB1100 to NOT do this on upgrade OR fix any paths in config that might use "disk1" in path for things. We use these RB1100 is few places, so an upgrade that potentially breaks the dude would not be good, is my concern here.
