CHR ipsec memory leak

Wed Nov 02, 2022 1:12 pm

Hello, I have a problem on my CHR v.6.47.10.
Specifically, after the establishment of an ipsec session a certain amount of memory is used, but if the ipsec session fails or if it is ceased, the memory is not freed.
To recover the memory, you need to reboot. What could be the cause ? Has anyone happened to?
Thanks in advance

I do not recognize that, but as always it is best to first upgrade to the newest version (6.49.7) before discussing bugs.

unfortunately, this problem also occurs with version 7 and with the ARM platform.
On the other hand, on versions 6.44 installed, it does not happen.

I did not say version 7, but rather the latest v6 version 6.49.7
Did you test that?

Hi,
after some time I finally managed to try the 6.49.7 version.
I notice similar behavior. Memory tends to rise every day until it becomes saturated.
I have a CHR 6.49.7 machine with 2Gb of Ram and 80 ipsec.
Is there any parameter to configure to avoid this anomalous behavior?

I attach a screen of the memory trend after the restart and after 1 day. You see a steady increase. This happens until the memory is full

Thx

Probably yes, because I run a CHR with 6.49.7 that has several IPsec sessions and has been up for 91 days now, and it does not show this behavior.
(memory usage is increasing a little over time, but by far not as steeply as you are showing)
