BPWL is the man!
But I am sure he has blocked me by now.
Why would I bother digging back into Mikrotik wireless with the 2014 WiFi5 radios?
The radio performance was the issue. The behavior of connected clients was no different when I used LOCAL FORWARDING caps-man or standalone drivers.
Caps-Man is f--king beautiful and one of the best wireless CONFIGURATORS I have worked with. No need to add flash drives and servers to job sites. No reason to look and see.. CRAP that router can't run the dude. etc etc etc. Caps-Man can run on or be added to anything running RouterOS. When lighting took out the ISP gateway and my router, the ISP came out and swapped their router... I logged into the switch and pushed the cap-man config in. Had 10 WAPS back online in seconds. Gave me time to actually pick up a new router and run out there a few days later.
But once again... can't keep clients connected... who gives a F--k?
Every single time I go down this road with Mikrotik Wireless Apologists, they eventually give in and admit their wireless is about 8 years behind other products. Then comes out the "Its so configurable and cheap..."
