using Zerotier to access my entire network

Thu Nov 10, 2022 7:11 pm

Hello My friends..!
First i am new to this ZerTier.
and i want to compare it to wireguard, so can i using ZeroTier to access my entire subnet ..?
i mean in wireguard if i want to get access to all my devices on 192.168.1.1/24 rang i usually put the allowed ip address like this 192.168.1.1/24, so i can access all devices on this range, can i do that in Zerotier..?
so please your advise who's the best..?

Think of zerotier like connecting your device to a l2 switch. so if you connect your router to that l2 switch as long as you have routing and the firewall done correctly you can access whatever you need to. your not going to find a big speed difference between the two..

The main differences in my mind are
a. zerotier is limited to ARM devices
b. zerotier relies on third party servers
c. zerotier can have no publicly reachable WANIP addresses and still work
d. wireguard can be fully independent
e .wireguard requires one reachable WAN Ip address

Wireguard is peer to peer, zerotier is everybody join the same party.
