Wed Nov 16, 2022 12:30 am

Hi,

I need increase wifi power on hap AC3 with wifiwave2.I use setting with czech republic on 2,4 GHz only 20 Mhz but one client is to far and is connecting and disconectic all the time. If im not wrong there is no possibility to use superchannel in wifiwave2,

Any advice please?

Too far as in ... how far ?
What's in between access point and client device ?

Especially with wifiwave2 MT made sure no legal limits can be crossed so I am not sure you can "crank up the volume" any further.

put a different name for 2.4ghz radio ssid and 5ghz radio ssid, maybe your device is sticking to 5ghz radio which has less coverage (but more speed), for high coverage you must use 2.4ghz radio

putting different names makes easier you to verify and controll to which radio are you connected

There is same dBm as in Canada 30dBm...I have set skip DSF ALL does it means that I can not use any DSF channels which requires DSF check?

/interface/wifiwave2 info country-info <insert country name here or press TAB for see the country name list>

skip DFS do not skip DFS check.... skip channels wher DFS is required... on Canada2 and US3 no requirement for DFS is present on any channel...

More a fan of shutting things off. Makes it a lot easier to see whats going on... if the thing is THE ONLY THING ON.

Nice results for
/interface/wifiwave2 info country-info "Canada2"

The difference between this and "normal" Canada is that Canada2 omits all DFS channels (available in Canada). "Normal" Canada lists channels 5180-5240 as indoor with lower permitted Tx power (24 dBm) ... which is the only big difference (most people try to avoid using DFS channels).

No, you can't. Because your device can operate at a maximum of 26 dBm. This will severely reduce the speed.
In your case, you will get the best results with a directional antenna.

ok, but 26 dBm is better than 20 dBm. So Canada2 is better choice for me....

If you are satisfied with the speed limit of 1-3 mbps, then use it.
