Good Day All,
I saw quite a few threads on antenna connections and signal strength discussions on the forum but did not want to hijack someone else's thread.
I currently have a Mikrotik D53G-5HacD2HnD / Chateau LTE12 installed with 2 x 2x2 MIMO LTE Antennas connected (Poynting Omni-600 - https://poynting.tech/antennas/omni-600/) which are mounted up on the roof. I have disconnected and added 2 x SMA connectors to connect the second antenna as per the photograph found on the forum here:
One antenna is connected to the existing factory-shipped SMA connectors at the back and the other antenna's 2 cables are connected to the 2 extra ones that I added.
This has improved signal somewhat from just using the internal antenna but my RSRQ seems low averaging around 14-16 dB. SINR is also hovering around 8-14 dB.
Is this low? I am not a wireless radio specialist but looking at some other posts and the winbox graphical display it seems like this may be problematic?
Is there anything that I can do to improve these figures somewhat?
Thank you in advance
