I was working on some firewall configurations till l entered the command

"ip firewall filter add chain=input action=drop in-interface=[Interface Name]"

The interface name l entered was a running one and seems to have been allowing all traffic to the router. Since that command, l can no-longer access the router via web GUI and cannot even ping the router. I would like to know how l may regain access to the router and revert that change. I have tried telneting into the router (using default port 23) but that doesnt work as well.

You have probably locked yourself out; dropping every connection

You can try to connect to the webinterface from another interface.
If that doesn't succeed try either; the console / reset button.

Reset button will reset the whole configuration.

Note; in WinBox there is a safe-mode that might be handy to prevent this in the future

You can try using winbox and MAC connectivity - after (if) winbox discovers device, click on displayed MAC address instead of IP address. MAC connections are bypassing IP firewall (access control is configured elsewhere).

This is why I created my off the bridge approach to configuring the router ( for beginners ).
Read this here so that when you reinstall your config, this will happen far less.....
