Netpower 16P adapter

Fri Jan 20, 2023 11:32 am

Dear Friends..

I had just purchase Netpower 16 P,
i want to power Mimosa C5C and C5X , Power beam 400 ,power beam Ac, rocket Ac lite and also airfiber 5xHD, now i m confused which power adopter i should use to power up net power so that i could easily powered all the devices i mentioned above on the tower.

i have search Mikrotik website for accessories and there i found an adapter (24HPOW), can this adapter give power to all 18 ports of the netpower 16P for the similar devices as mentioned above(mimosa, ubiquity) or i need compulsory purchase other power supply.

kindly suggest.
its very urgent.
Thanks and Regards

If any device needs 48v, you need to have a 48v power supply attached. The switch can have both a 24v and 48v adapter connected to power different devices connected to the switch at the same time.

Thanks for Reply @ biomesh

sir, i only have 24 v operated devices on tower, i have no device which require 48 v.
my query is that if i use mikrotik adapter: model ( (24HPOW), will that power and run all 18 devices which are connected to all 16 PoE ports of netpower 16 p ( only have 24 v devices).
i m looking for such power adapter.

Sum up power requirements of connected devices and if it exceeds 2.8A, then Netpower 16P won't do (check product page). Power adapter 24HPOW is rated even lower than that (2.5A).
And keep in mind that switch has own power consumption rated at 16W ... if removing 16W from equation of 24V power budget would make the difference between go and no-go, then add 48V power supply. Devices with multiple power sources use the one with highest voltage for own consumption ... in this case Netpower 16P would use 48V for own consumption and whole 24V power budget would be available for PoE.
