v7.7 ipv6 policy routing example

Sat Jan 28, 2023 2:07 pm

Hello, everyone.

I tried using ipv6 policy routing in ac3 with 7.7 stable, but I knew it would be hard to do in ipv6. It doesn't work with IPv6 because there is no NAT. The packets are sent out exactly how they arrive from the device, so the device's choice of source IPv6 address for the connection determines the route the packets have to take. The router can't choose the route independently of the source address. So, I 'm not sure what this is supported since 7.1?#) support for IPv6 recursive routing and policy routing;

Could you give me an example?

NAT is not needed for policy routing. It works exactly as for ipv4, add routing table, mark connection, mark routing and set routes in the routing table.

I may not have expressed it exactly, it want to send non-domestic ipv6 traffic to the tunnel. What should I do?Could you give me an example?

You better not send wild IPv6 packets into the internet.

Thank you for your suggestion, I know this is not a good choice, and it may be a problem to implement.
