I would use the 2.4GHz WiFi interface for both VLAN and PCs: all devices in VLAN will have a static IP in a well defined subnet, other PCs will use DHCP on a different subnet.
The first step was the creation of a new VLAN interface
Code: Select all
;;; defconf
5 R bridge bridge 1500 1568 48:A9:8A:0A:12:1B
6 R bridge-trunk bridge 1500 65535 48:A9:8A:0A:12:20
7 RS vlan-domotic vlan 1500 48:A9:8A:0A:12:20
8 S wifi1 wifi 1500 48:A9:8A:0A:12:1F
9 RS wifi2 wifi 1500 48:A9:8A:0A:12:20
Code: Select all
# NAME MTU ARP VLAN-ID INTERFACE
0 R vlan-domotic 1500 enabled 10 wifi2
Code: Select all
Flags: D - DYNAMIC
Columns: ADDRESS, NETWORK, INTERFACE
# ADDRESS NETWORK INTERFACE
;;; defconf
0 192.168.88.1/24 192.168.88.0 bridge
1 D 192.168.1.15/24 192.168.1.0 ether1
2 192.168.33.30/27 192.168.33.0 vlan-domotic
I hoped to see some packets coming from 192.168.33.2 on vlan-domotic. This was not the case: I saw some packets coming from domotic device only on wifi2 interface.
What am I missing?
