How to execute risky Mikrotik commands safely?

Wed Mar 15, 2023 6:14 am

I am attempting to run commands on my Mikrotik router using Python scripts. I am currently able to access the router and execute commands using Paramiko. However, some of the commands I want to run are risky, so I would like to execute them in Safe Mode. I have tried sending the CTRL+X command to the router by sending \x18, as per the ASCII table, but I do not receive any response.

Therefore, I am seeking assistance from anyone who has experience using a similar solution to access the router in Safe Mode. Any guidance on how to execute these commands safely would be greatly appreciated.

Create a backup,
create a job that resore automatically the backup if on 5 minutes you do not delete the job.

If you lost device control, after 5 mins it reload the backup,
