Mikrotik router on external antenna..

Thu Mar 30, 2023 6:24 pm

I’ve finally had our antenna running an EE sim removed and need to replace it with a Vodafone sim.
I extracted the EE sim and replace it with the Voda sim and naively expected it to work like magic but of course, it didn’t. I really have no idea of what to change to make the Voda sim work and I’m starting to wonder if the thing is locked to EE or something.
Can anyone give me an idea of how to get it to work please?

Most likely the SIM PIN code and the APN need to be changed on the modem.
Just like you would have to do on a phone (sort of).

What device are we talking about ?

It’s a R11e-LTE.
I added the Vodafone apn but it’s asking for a password and I don’t have one - the original installer never gave us one 😕
Is there some way to factory reset it first?

R11-lte is only the modem card ? Where is it put in ?

Usually sxt or so ?
Hold reset, power on, once the leds start blinking in a pattern, release reset.
That's factory reset.
Out of the top of my head...you should be able to find the exact sequence online but it should be something like that.
