Omnitik 5AC is working as a directional VS Ubnt-5GHz 13dBi Omni Antenna with NetMetal-5h

Fri Apr 21, 2023 12:58 pm

Dear,
Hope you will be fine. I have deployed PtMP with Mikrotik Omnitik 5AC. My few clients are connected with LiteBeam M5 and 1 client is connected with LHG5.
Problem is that
I diagnose Omnitik 5AC as working as a directional Antenna. The face of Omnitik 5AC in which direction the Litebeam M5 getting 50 Singnal 98% CCQ. But on the other hand which station connected from the backside of Omnitik is getting a low signal as compared to Litebeam M5 which is connected from the front side of Omnitik ac.
Max distance (360 degrees) from Omnitik to Station is 1kilometer
The Max data rate for each user is 10Mbps.
Total Data is less than 100Mbps
Very stressed about why this is happening with Omni AP..?

Please suggest to me what I do..?
1) I thought I have planned to move Ubnt-5GHz 13dBi Omni Antenna with NetMetal-5.
2) or do I need to replace all station Litebeam M5 with LHG-5..?
But this solution will too much costly for me for Just 6 to 8 stations which are connected with Omnitik)

Please give me a solution
Thanks

Why would you change all clients? When you can change only one AP? Why dont you use Isostation instead of omnitik?

I have a few clients in 360 degrees so that's why I have installed Omnitik 5AC.
I like Mikrotik and further I want to extend my Wireless Network with Mikrotik Wireless.

If you look at the antenna patterns, you can see, signal is not 100% equal on all sides:

if your clients are not facing the best side, maybe omni is not the best solution, instead consider several Sector AP devices like mantBOX15

This is only with Mikrotik Antenna or with any vendor's antenna ..?
