SOLVED: Audience mesh setup

Fri Apr 21, 2023 8:57 pm

Hi All!

I'm trying to setup a Audience mesh with three Audience devices. One is connected to a fiber modem, and is in "Home Mesh" mode.
I added the second by pressing the WPS sync button on the first, and while pressing the WPS button on the second turned it on (by putting the cable in it).

The second Audience eventually turns green, meaning it's added to a Audience network (according to the sparse documenation (https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/UM/Audience)
The third was added by doing the same between the second and third Audience devices.

Alas. all are green, but I only get internet when I'm close to the first. When i'm right next to the third or even second, no internet. Pinging the first, goes from 4ms to 24 seconds (!) and has 13% packet loss.

I have no idea how to troubleshoot this, I've re-read that manual page a few times, reset the whole setup a few times, tried "home dual" etc. etc.

Any hints would be appreciated!

Re: Audience mesh setup

This post solved it for me: viewtopic.php?t=189500&sid=be6566535fe4 ... 216d6bb55d

It mainly was this:
/interface bridge port add bridge=bridge interface=wlan3

Meaning the defaults in audience mesh setup just don't work.
