Little questions about hAP ax^2

Mon May 01, 2023 6:39 pm

1. What does the first letter C mean in the name C52iG-5HaxD2HaxD-TC? Help doesn't say anything about this.
https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/ ... uct+Naming

2. Why is the frequency range in cAP ax 864 - 1800 MHz, but in hAP ax^2 - a fixed frequency of 864 MHz? The heatsink in the hAP ax^2 is large and has a lot of ventilation holes. If, nevertheless, at 1800 MHz hAP ax^2 heats up excessively, then why can't the frequency range be made up to 1000 or 1200 MHz? Even if the hAP ax^2 overheats at high frequencies, in auto mode the frequency up or down can be based on the readings of the thermal sensor that is in the hAP ax^2. Why not give more power in the cold season and with the correct installation of the device?

3. Why is there no frequency range down from 864 MHz for lower consumption at small load?

4. Is it possible and expected to change the fixed frequency of 864 MHz in new firmware versions or is this the final decision of Mikrotik and it cannot be changed?

Are you really unable to simply read what is clearly written by yourself,
without someone copying and pasting here the same lines from the help on the forum?

Board Name

Currently, there can be three types of board names:

3-symbol name
1st symbol stands for series (this can either be a number or a letter)
[…]

1) I hope it helps, otherwise it was too hard to find the answer on the first lines by yourself.

2a) Sorry, I didn't know that inside your house is the same temperature as outside.
MikroTik doesn't think about who has these problems, and assumes that the temperature inside the house is controlled and constant, not that it's cold in winter and hot in summer, like outside.

2b) Ah, I forgot, what do you expect by raising the clock speed? Is the internet going faster? Yes? but how much faster? Is it worth the risk of breaking?
