Hi colleagues,
while I was working enough with Mikrotik devices as a SOHO routers, now I need to implement 10G-based switching and kindly ask you to clear my doubts
I need to implement the following topology:
where servers (Linux) are connected over 10G trunk links to two CRS309-1G-8S+IN in MC-LAG mode. These switches supposed to work in pure L2 mode and provide uplink for some of VLANs.
According to documentation, the MC-LAG supported, so my questions are:
- whether MC-LAG functionality is well-tested and production-ready?
- whether depicted above model will provide performance according to specified in datasheet Switching results?
- when using 6-8 SFP+ ports (FoxGate), how passive cooling will perform?
- which features, when switched on, will degrade performance of the device?
Thank you for help.
