RBwAPGR-5HacD2HnD - USB 2.0 and 3.0 on miniPCIe connector

Thu May 04, 2023 2:31 pm

Dear all,
CPU model in RBwAPGR-5HacD2HnD is a IPQ-4018 SOC, that comes (Qualcomm specifications) with USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 lines/interfaces.

Looking at the blockdiagram of RBwAPGR-5HacD2HnD, the USB bus lines that is connected to the miniPCIe connector, is not marked like "USB 2.0" or "USB 2.0/3.0, it is only marked as "USB LINES"

Question: the miniPCIe connector, is hardware connected to the IPQ4018 SOC USB 2.0 and 3.0 interfaces (both) or is only connected to the USB 2.0 interface?

Should be nice to test the RBwAPGR-5HacD2HnD with a LTE/5G modem that has USB 3.0 interface.
Thank You
Roberto

miniPCIe on the wAPacR certainly does USB 3.0. Used Telit LM960s and Sierra MC7455s in them for a while.

I'd like to say I've used a USB 2.0 modem in the wAPacR, but don't quote me. Now the most modern 5G modem are generally M.2 slot. But these are great devices. Wi-Fi works okay as is, but draw back is the newest drivers don't fit in the limited disk.
