I purchased the Mikrotik product based on the fact it states the module is supported.
If Mikrotik determines that actually, it isn't, then that's fraud (I believe) and sale of goods by misrepresentation and opens Mikrotik up to civil lawsuits.

Talking about
fraud and
suing MikroTik really shows your poor understanding of things.
If you do not read first, it's not MikroTik's fault.
Before buying the module, did you ask the dealer what is the installed firmware version?
Of course not, and going to court because of your omission is certainly not as smart as buying a device without first checking if it is compatible.
MikroTik was clear, that device with that versions.
It's your failure if you didn't make sure before buying the product it was compatible or not.
[…] minor differences in firmware revisions […]
Do you have the source code of both firmwares to compare?
You don't know at all what changes inside (me neither of course).
You're just writing at random because for your, and only yours, mistake...
OFFTOPIC:
It's like Ferrari refusing to work on a car because a headlight bulb isn't OEM.
But did you know that, in practice, it really is like this?
You buy the car, but Ferrari repairs it only and exclusively if all things are Ferrari certified...
So in short:
1) You didn't make sure beforehand if the version is compatible
2) It is not the same firmware version
3) If it were the same firmware version, however MikroTik is not responsible for the bugs contained therein
4) The modem works at first, but then randomly stops, so if it works at first, how do you tell it's a MikroTik problem?
5) It could be a firmware change in the modem causing the random problems
6) You have not contacted the modem manufacturer
7) If the modem has firmware problems, it is not MikroTik that is required to solve them
8) MikroTik is not required to try all the peripherals on the market, and then of each peripheral each firmware, to verify its compatibility
9) MikroTik produces modems, which it supports.
10) You claim support for hardware produced by others, from a competitor company that also produces modems.
You could have avoided all this if you bought a MikroTik modem directly, instead of buying it from a competing company.
Nothing more, nothing less.
