Dear all
My service provider install Huawei HG8240T5 GPON unite with DHCP enable and I don't have any access to it and I can't change any thing on it and the IP is 192.168.100.1
the service comes with VOIP and IPTV and all device has static IP and all device are locked I can't do any change
NOW I have Mikrotik RB5009UPr+S+ how I can configure MK with same IP range of GPON !!!! I ask one of my friend and he relayed to set MK as a switch and other friend said set MK as DHCP server with hotspot
I need you opinion from your experience what is the best way to configure MK

Ignoring the fact if you can ask or not your ISP to change the GPON config,
Your friend that suggest switch mode is more smart than
who uselessly suggest double nat with hotspot, like ChatGPT when do not know how to reply invent the instructions...

How to:
learn to use winbox by MAC address to access the device,
when you know how to do it, reset the system without loading the defaults.
After the reboot, access with winbox by MAC (the only way...)
Create a bridge,
add all interfaces as bridge ports,
add a dhcp client on bridge,
done.
You have your RouterBOARD configured as dumb switch.

I tried to what you mention but I realised that I have to all clients IP address on my network any iv'e heard about VLAN that if I configure vlan on mikrotik the iptv will work
do you have any help on that please
