We have about 100 of these int he field and have had constant issues with them. We just decided to stop using them and use multiple 24 port switches instead. I opened a ticket with Mikrotik about our 10+ switches failing on us with multiple issues and their only response was "perform a netinstall" which doesn't fix any issues and is not an acceptable fix.
These switches had issues with traffic passing on ports 9-16, rebooting them causing it to hang and when connected to serial never finish the shutdown process so it needed a physical power cycle to come back up, and lastly the other big issue is when the switch boots up, no traffic is passing through any switch port.
In our latest procurement of these switches I noticed that one of them had the "revision 3" designation on it. We had been using r1 and r2 in the field which are the problematic ones so I'm wondering what's new with the "r3" hardware. Of course Mikrotik will never share details on this. It has factory firmware in the v7 range now instead of the v6.
