2-pin plug type for RB5009UG+S+IN ?

Tue Sep 26, 2023 12:53 pm

Hi,

Does anybody know what is the type of plug (and it's orientation) to be used with the side 2-pin power connector of the RB5009UG+S+IN ?

The manual (https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/pages/vi ... d=78086262) does not mention it:

The device accepts power from the power jack or from the first Ethernet port:

Direct-input power jack (5.5 mm outside and 2 mm inside, female, pin positive plug) accepts 24-57 V DC.
The First Ethernet port accepts Power over Ethernet 24-57 V DC.

Apparently something's missing here.

Thanks in advance,

Something like this: https://www.hw-group.com/accessory/2-pin-terminal-block

But you need to know pin spacing etc.

Yes, that's why I'm asking :-)

Best to ask support, then you're sure.
And ask in parallel they make a note of it somewhere on the product pages / specification so next one asking the same question also knows.

Ooookay... So next time I'll move the device 90°... Then I'll see that there are two screws on the connector, and this will avoid asking a useless question.

I'm not sure it is useless. Maybe they've just included the connector and plugged it in at the factory?

If so, then it's still useful to know what that connector is in case you lose it, need multiples for testing, etc.

It's included/installed at the factory for rack-mount versions, and included in the kit of screws and mounting hardware for the outdoor version.

Phoenix Contact part number MC 1,5/ 2-ST1-5,08 - PCB connector (1900772).

It's a 5.08mm pitch 2-position Mini COMBICON (MC) connector.

That makes perfect sense. Thanks for confirming it!
