CSS106 - VLANs Tab

Hello all,

I have two CSS106-5G-1S connected via fiber. On the near side switch I also have port 5 connected to my upstream core switch, as a trunk port. I want all my vlans to pass from the core switch to the CSS106. For vlan 1, which is my mgmt vlan, do I need to add it to the list of vlans on the VLANs tab of SwOS 2.13? When I look at the user guide for SwOS it does not show vlan 1 listed in the list of vlans, so I am a bit confused.

Thanks,
Steve

For reasons, similar to the one causing your confusion, is better not to use VLAN 1. If other vendor's equipment is actually using management over untagged (some call it "native VLAN"), then you can use any other VLAN ID on MT equipment and configure relevant ports as hybrid (i.e. tagged for VLANs needed and untagged for management VLAN).
