I've upgraded my lab hAP lite ac and hAP lite to ROS v7. Why do I see two menu options on my hAP ac lite (Wifi & wireless) but only one on the hAP lite (Wireless)?
I'm assuming that there are separate CAPSMAN and Wireless menu options because these older devices are running CAPsMAN v1 and therefore if I decided to use CAPsMAN on them, I could only manage older devices not running the newer wifi-qcom package?
I notice that one my new hAP ax2, the CAPsMAN options are blended into the single WiFi menu option which makes sense as it was always a bit confusing to have separate security profiles.
I've really tried to understand the whole wireless package vs CAPsMAN vs ROS version scenario but must admit I'm still totally confused what functionality would be lost in a legacy environment if I upgraded it to v7. Which is why I'm trying it in the lab first.
I saw a post somewhere with a grid trying to explain all this. Can't find the link though?
