positive signal level in wifi registration table?

Fri Mar 15, 2024 3:41 pm

Is this a bug? Suddenly signal level for 5ghz interface (cap-wifi3) shows positive numbers in column "signal"? Not only in Winbox, verified on CLI too.

CAPsMAN + ROS 7.13.5 + wifi-qcom-ac

Now that's HOT reception

Surely must be a bug ... already check with 7.14 if the bug persists ?

No, I won't upgrade beyond 7.13.x anytime soon.

Maybe Mikrotik is using some new technology, as a comparison heat pumps go 300% or even 400% efficiency, but they are actually cheating, subtracting heat from the outside environment, you should ask your neighbours how is their wi-fi working.

ROS has self-healing capabilities. Signal restored to normal without rebooting CAP or CAPsMAN. Interesting though.

+1. I think it's a bug, but it's not funny. Because my wifi clients are flapping with "too strong signal". error message. :\
