I recently acquired a HAP AX3 router and found its board thermal paste somewhat dry. So, I carefully changed the chip thermal paste and actually noticed a small drop in temps.

I didn't actively monitor its temperature before this change since it is new, but I believe it was hovering around 60ºC at idle.
After the change I had a small but noticeable reduction in its temperature. Maybe up to 5ºC. It is now below 60ºC at idle'ish.

Has anyone else done something similar or taken a different approach to reduce its temperature?
