I'm finding a lot of older posts and documentation around OpenVPN.
I'd like to try connecting RouterOS OpenVPN client to a PFSense OpenVPN server.
I am reading about a lot of limitations.
It seems that UDP now works but unsure if it works globally and not only as a server.
I am also reading about limitations that it only works in a mode that requires username + password login.
So I am expecting that I'll need to configure a custom OpenVPN server to match RoutherOS OpenVPN client limitations such as this.
Most of what I am reading is quite old and I do see any more recent attempts/examples to try and work with.
Is newer RouterOS doing much in terms of more flexibility or standardization/common configuration here?
It looks like UDP was added awhile back.
I also do not think you can simply import a .opvn file.
I tried this and got errors on UDP4
I'm expecting that I will need to manually bring certificates in and configure settings manually.
I am also looking for newer information if it is available and how it may apply to newer (the latest) version of RouterOS.
