Audience mesh on RouterOS 7

Tue May 07, 2024 3:04 am

Hi - I recall reading through a forum post some time ago re. mesh not working on the Audience under RouterOS 7. Is this the case? I have one Audience running 7.14.3 and look gin at purchasing another to use the 160MHz mesh channel but not sure if it works.

It depends on what exactly you have in mind. If you want true mesh with 3+ Audiences, I don't know. If you just want to connect 1+ Audience to a master Audience wirelessly, there's this topic.

My experience with ROs 6 is that trying to set up the mesh can be a lot of trouble. With 2 devices, consider one as AP, the other one as STATION-BRIDGE. That works rather well.

My setup has 3 Audience and they are plowing along without a hitch.

Thanks for the replies. I will give AP / STATION-BRIDGE a go.

Hi, I just managed to have 2x Audience with Caps man enabled, working better than expected!
Use wifi1&2 as standard AP mode (till 2 Wi-Fi networks you can have roaming enabled as CAPs and VLAN), wifi3 as AP + bridge.
If you need help I can share my config.

Hello @Simonej,
can you please share (the relevant part of) the configuration? I am thinking of a similar setup (not with Audiences though), so a configuration which works would be very helpful!
