CSS106-1G-4P-1S DHCP Question

Hello all,
Got a question about DHCP and my device. I am watching this device continually DHCP request and DHCP ack every 6 seconds or so. The IP is in place, it is registered, and I can connect to the device. Has anyone seen this situation where it keeps wanting to request a DHCP address every 6 seconds?
What I am seeing on the switch side is a very high number of pauses on the SFP port. Does this mean I could have a bad optic?
