Atheros AR5B22 wireless mini-PCIe in RBM33G

Hi,

I was advised to use Atheros wireless PCIe since it was supported by the Mikrotik.
So I purchased and inserted a wireless Atheros AR5B22 (mini-PCIe) into a RBM33G.
However Winbox does not detect this wireless interface.
Does it mean that this PCIe will never work on this RBM33G or is a firmware or OS upgrade required?

Hello,

it looks like to be based on the AR9462, a combo ic 802.11n / Bluetooth 4.0 device (pci-e for wifi and usb 2.0 for Bluetooth, maybe used for notebooks) ...
I don't think it will ever work in Router OS... But maybe I'm wrong, just an idea.

Regards

A list of compatible devices (or more likely chipsets) has been posted here:

it seems like limited to vary few devices and the AR5B22 or AR9462 are not among them.
