Thanks Mikrotik for this new version of WinBox 3 I personally love this software as it is simple and "raw" and I was seriously afraid that you had removed the support for v3.

There is a file browser in 7.19 for example. Not the current files menu but when you get to a spot where you need to select a file, it will now open a browser instead of just it being a single textbox.
That's what this is talking about.

The new file browser (and related WinBox protocol) is probably needed to address use cases where the file system has (tens of) thousands of files/folders, which should be more frequent, now that ROSE-storage/RDS are being pushed. The old file browser loading and listing all files and folders at once is certainly no longer adequate.

I think 7.19.x doesn't have the necessary changes on the RouterOS side yet.

Version 7.20 will change how the system internally handles files menu. In order to do so, new WinBox was required. Nothing to do with popups, etc. Others would skip that line in changelog or hide it under "other fixes and improvements"

It's for 7.20+. The file menu is supposed to better represent the hierarchical file system, i.e. show only the content of the directory you're in as opposed to every single files on the drive, which will be a godsend for folks using e.g. RDS2216.

If WinBox 3 is still alive, may be you finally fix these two very annoying bugs?

1. If WinBox window has maximized state and was minimized to taskbar, then if reconnection happens, it loses maximized state, and this makes all internal windows to shrink to fit into new main window size, causing total mess.
2. If you have an opened log window and a new message arrives, the window doesn't scroll automatically and this new message may be hidden or not completely visible. But if one more message arrives, the window is scrolled automatically. I. e. scrolling happens only on every second message.
