Upgrade ROS: just a doubt

Tue Jul 15, 2008 4:20 pm

Hi, I would like to upgrade my OS on RB333: if I've correctly understood, I go on the RouterOS download page.
Here there are these coices:

RouterOS 3.11

* All files (requires a Torrent client)
* Combined package (http)
* All packages (Includes optional packages: view content)
* Routing beta package (http)
* MPLS beta package (http)
* RouterOS 3.11 Changelog

The correct download is Combined package, right?
Then I upload it on the routerboard and reboot, right?
If I upload a RouterOS for another RB (for example RB112), may I recover anyway the board?
Thanks.

Uhm....
I've tried tu upgrade ROS 2.9.x to 3.11 on RB112: with the old ROS all was working fine, except a little bug with snmp.
Now, with ROS3.11, when I enter via Winbox (there is a cable connection) I find all windows (wireless tables: interfaces-registration, New Terminal, IP-addresses, as examples) blank, so I have to wait several seconds to see anithing.
What cuold be the problem?

Have you upgraded the bootloader? You will see high cpu usage and rb slow downs without bootloader upgrade.
From new terminal, under winbox: system routerboard---->print----->upgrade, after accepting upgrade you will need to reboot the routerboard for the upgrade to be complete.

Don't worry, I made the upgrade, then reboot, yesterday. Since yesterday I've rebooted several times.
