One AP two frequencies are viewed

Wed Nov 10, 2010 3:37 am

Guys,
My AP set to channel 1 (2412 MHz) and has established with its clients.
just wondering... If I scan the AP from client, I found my AP's ssid running on two frequencies. They are 2412 MHz and 2414 MHz with same mac address.
My question is : why 2414 Mhz shown in scanning result? is my AP frequency leak or something else?
pls sharing from you guys

its shifted frequency, if you set scan-list on client to "default" you see only 2412

your probably running with 10Meg or 5Meg channel widths.
Just ignore the ghosts the client will connect to the highest signal.
