inject adresses in ospf?

Sat Nov 17, 2012 2:13 am

Hi

We are running a ospf network today.

All the routers in the ospf network knows each other. But if want to add a network address 1.2.3.4 to the router YY that is behind router XX which don't have a address in that remote network 1.2.3.4. If router XX had a address in the network 1.2.3.4, I only had to add that network in ospf.

But in my case, my router XX don't have a address in the network 1.2.3.4.

So how do I tell my ospf network that the network 1.2.3.4 is behind router XX whiteout having an address in that network?

Hope you understand.. Thanks!

No, Nothing behind router XX speaks OSPF. We can say that its a customer network whit their own routers behind XX. And those routers have addresses that I Now have made Static route to XX.

Now I want to run those routes via ospf instead because their is more then one way to XX. then I dont have to make several static routes whit diffrents distance.

Add static route with type blackhole and metric 254 to XX
And set redistribute-static to ospf

Thanks! Can you explain a little more in detail how that would work out?
