Simple static routing & Hotspot

Tue Dec 03, 2013 4:40 pm

we've setup a simple static routing between a router A (internet gateway & hotspot server) with a local subnet and router B with a local subnet The routing works just fine. Router A has and router B
As long as the hotspot is disabled everything is allright, as soon as it is enabled clients coming from get caught by the server and seem to valid but as soon as the client logs in it becomes apparent that thats not the case.

For example the client coming from will end up in the /ip hotspot hosts with router B's MAC address and the ip will flap between and

Is there a way to get the real MAC and IP address for each client from router B?

Best regards

No, they're in a different broadcast domain and MAC addresses will not flow from domain to You need to create 2 hotspots or bridge the 2 networks.
