Want to Change WAN Port

Tue Jul 15, 2014 2:40 am

I just received my 951Ui-2HnD. I would like to re-configure Port 5 (the POE power output port) as the WAN port so I can connect it to my Ubiquiti Bullet 2HP high-power access point, and re-configure Port 1 (the POE input port) as a regular port so I can run POE into it to power the router. I'm somewhat familiar with routers but am not sure I understand "bridge" mode.

Would someone be able to give me the steps to do this, so that I don't do something stupid and mess up everything?

You have to remove ether5 from the bridge or put the master-port to none.
And put ether1 to the bridge or put master-port to the same as ether5 had.
Although I'm not sure whether ether1 is handled by the switch chip.
Putting it to the bridge should work.
Also move your DHCP-client towards ether5 if needed.
Testing setup with: 2 x RB750UP | 2 x RB750GL | 1 x RB951G-2HnD | 1 x RB2011UiAS-IN
