WPS push button on vAPs?

Mon May 18, 2015 8:36 pm

I would like to configure a virtual AP for WPS but it seems impossible to configure at the moment.

The system I tried it out on is a mAP2n running 6.28+wireless-cm2(6.28). I used the "Quick Set" (HomeAP mode) to get WPS configured on the main wlan1 interface and I added a guest network (vAP). WPS works fine on the primary AP but does not work on the guest network (wlan2):
/interface wireless wps-push-button wlan2
does not seem to put the vAP into WPS mode. Neither does it produce an error message. The log just says this:
02:23:54 wireless,info : WPS virtual button pushed
Is this a bug, generally not supported, or something else?

Also, wps-mode does not show up in
/interface wireless print detail
for any interfaces.

I have to do this to see it:
[admin@MikroTik] > :put [/interface wireless get wlan2 wps-mode ]
push-button

Re: WPS push button on vAPs?

I ran into the same issue. I have a regular WiFi, and a guest WiFi. I'd like to add IoT devices to the guest WiFi. I can enable WPS mode in the webfig configuration for the virtual AP, but there is no "WPS Accept" button for it, only for the "real" AP. Any solutions or workarounds?
