200Mbit Fibre connection LHG 60Ghz 1500m?

Hi all

As per the title, would a wireless Fibre bridge (200Mbit Down/100 Up) work with the MT LHG 60Ghz Wireless Wire at 1500m apart?

What are the downfalls?
Would the connection be susceptible to wind/medium to heavy rain?
Suitable to use for a PtP Backhaul?

Thanks!

Hello,

yes I believe it should work OK.

I have a link working at 1700m and when I do a speed test between them, I get around 800-900Mbps.

YES, the rain DOES affect the link. I have seen it drop a number of times briefly when it rains reasonably hard.

The good news is that it always seems to come back up after the rain passes by.

Hello

Thank you for the response.

Now, how stable do these antennae need to be? I need to use long poles to mitigate some possible obstructions and this my result in a bit of sway when there is a wind.

From what I read, there is only 1 degree of alignment accuracy to play with?

How is your link set up? Do you have problems when it’s windy or they are misaligned slightly?

Thanks
