433AH + No Ip address + Unable to reinstall OS

Here is my problem, Tried upgrading 433ah to 3.30 but on reboot could not login with winbox, No mac address / no ip address

I can gain access by hyperterminal with serial cable, but i get “Kernel not found”
I did not assign a IP address to the 433, so i am unable to connect via netinstall net booting as i cannot tell netinstall the client ip address is, as it does not exist?
when i change boot “boot device” on the 433, ( catch21 )
I can upgrade the firmware on the 433, which not what i want to do but reinstall the OS.
If i can assign an ip to the 433 then i can use netinstall, I was looking at the boot protocol
of bootp, or dhcp, could i assign a ip by dhcp

At present when i boot 433 and using hyperterminal i get “please, check ethernet cable … Ethernet link absent.. trying bootp protcol …failed kernel loading failed”

Any help please,

The detailed instructions to Netinstall,
http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Netinstall

You do not need to assign IP address to the router. Netinstall program will assign IP address to the router.
Configure Netinstall program correctly, add IP address to ‘Net Booting’, IP address should be from the same network as computer has on Ethernet interface.

Disable firewall and all other network interfaces on computer. Connect router Ethernet1 port to computer with straight Ethernet cable.
Try to reinstall it.

Many thanks sergejs,

Problem solved , i must admit i did not know netinstall would assign a ip address to the routerboard, Sometimes when the instructions are expained differently then on reading the wiki it makes sense,

thanks,
