5Ghz Frequency range 5745-5825

Hi,

on wiki.mikrotik.com is available a document with all the available frequencies: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Frequencies_available
BUT, if I check the regulation of my country (and other european countries) some frequency are not allowed.

In particular frequency in the range 5745-5825 are from Mikrotik allowed but not in the country regulation.

There is any document defining the european usage of this range?
Is this a Mikrotik bug?

regards
Stefano

you must check with your country regulatory office, we update the lists according to official papers, if you have some proof that there is incorrect list in RouterOS, send to support the document, and we will fix.

Hi Normis,

this document define the ECC:

here the ETSI sdandard:

and here the Swiss regulation (that basicaly is based on the european regulation):

but may you have a document for regulate the range 5745-5825

looks like that document in the wiki is incorrect as the SWITZERLAND supports such freqencies for 5ghz:

hi Uldis.
the problem is not only for Switzerland, but for all EU countries.

And is not a problem only in wiki, but depending of the OS version you can use theases frequency

regards
Stefano

we need to know exactly which countries and what version you had then we could check.

uldis,
for me is not a problem I know exatrly the frequency I can use in the coutry where I’m operating (between Switzerland and Italy).

I believe that the most EU country are using (more or less) the same frequency, I checked only somes countries (Italy, Germany and Switzerland) in your wiki, all this are not allowing the range 5745-5825 and are wrong in the wiki.

Is your problem that you are delivering software non conform to the local regulations.

I wanted only to alert you.

regards
Stefano

The wiki article is not made by MikroTik, but by some user. You have to check the latest RouterOS v3.27 to see the frequency list.
