We buy 10 new RB433UAH. They gonna be used to provide WIFI access on mobile units via 3G.
I’m really surprised, because when we start working, 7 of the boards fails. One, hangs up at 1 min uptime. 1, don’t detect miniPCI devices or USB devices. The rest.. some don’t detect USB and some don’t detect miniPCI devices…
I think, 70% of RMA is not acceptable. I need to convince my client this problem is really isolated. Can anyone tell me if this is a normal situation? This is my first work with this hardware, and was a really good experience (when the boards works, works flawlessly), but the RMA is too high… any one have similar experiences?
Please give me some feedback, i don’t want to loose my client, so, any experience be really appreciated.
100% it is not normal situation.
Please, contact MikroTik support (support@mikrotik.com) and provide with detailed information about every RouterBOARD problem.
@sergejs: contact is done. (Ticket#2010052066000678)
Thanks for your reply, i’m explaining my client the situation, and this post helps me, of course.
I understand they don’t trust me, if i contract someone to do this job and with this result, for sure i gonna think this is a really bad operation.
People who sold me the boards are telling me to wait 30 days until they have some more boards in stock… bad news… but looks like here in Argentina the support policy is not faster than in other countries.
Warranty and support policy are a little bit different in my part of the world. For example GSM base stations from Nokia, they have a warranty of 30 years for countrys in the Scandinavian region, but only 3 years in Africa, Middle East, and South America. Electronic devices break if they get exposed for extreme temperatures.
