Hello,
I’m trying to perform hotspot authentication with MK 2.9
From online documentation it seems that things have changed respect to 2.8: temporary IP address is not assigned any more to users before authentication succeds. Does this mean that the users get only one IP address from a DHCP pool and keeps it also after authentication? This is a problem if I want to give public IP to users, that will obtain such an IP also if authentication didn’t still succeded (e.g. Walled garden users). If this is the case, all walled garden users will get a public IP: a great waste of public IPs!!! ![]()
Is there a way to still provide a temporary IP address to not authenticated (or walled garden) users? ![]()
Best regards,
Paolo
