After reboot unable to login

Here is scenario. DHCP server seems to have stopped. I login via winbox. don’t see anything wrong, plenty of addresses available in pool. so I choose system>>reboot.

When router comes back up dhcp is working but I cannot log in actually no one can. there were 3 accounts on this router none work. when i try with SSH it gives error. rebooting does no good. Can anyone explain this??? it is a huge PIA to re-install, especially with out knowing why this happened. This is V2.9.50 and has only been running approx 2 weeks. It is flash disk is Emphase 250MB anyone have trouble with these?

could not connect to console, try rebooting the router
Connection to 192.168.250.1 closed.

UPDATE-- I can ftp to the router using the same username and password that fails using every other management method. Now if I could only get it back to a manageable state.

do mac-telnet or mac-winbox work?

Greetings!

You haven’t locked yourself out with your firewall, have you? I did that last week. I forgot that when you delete rules from the firewall filter, start at the bottom, or you will certainly lock yourself out.

And just to be certain, your dhcp works after the reboot, and dns is set correctly, right?
