Considering XR5 w/ RB333 for PtP backhaul. I’m thinking about using 5.2 or 5.4 frequency as to avoid 5.8 (other network and phones) and 5.7 (canopy). Any of you doing other than 5.8/5.7 for backhaul?
We use the RIC/522 series regularly for PtP over 5.4. Rock solid, even with two Canopy systems running nearby.
Is 5.4G public band in US?
According to wikipedia:
U-NII 2: 5.47-5.725 GHz. Both outdoor and indoor use, subject to Dynamic Frequency Selection
That says “Yes” to me, plus the fact that you can get Canopy and Alvarion on 5.4Ghz as well seems to confirm that it’s acceptable for use in the US.
