i was and still am using SXT LTE6 and in a quiet times (i mean times where there are not so many mobile users around the basestation i am aiming at) i get aroung 70-75 Mbps DL speed. I was wondering did any of you guys get the new LHG CAT18 device and how are your experiences with the DL/UL speeds.
In 99% of cases, speed is limited by operators at base stations.
So if you dont have any special agreements with carrier, you never see high speeds, even if LHG CAT18 hardware will be used.
It depends.. there are so many factors involved.. so, LTE18 can do 4CA, if you have so much bands available, then you can use them in LTE18.
i have LHG LTE18 for about two weeks now. in my place is get ~150/60 Mbit Down/Up. for me biggest improvement was upload speed, LTE18 can do 2CA in upload, although in very limited cases.
i know some users in my country with LHG LTE18 with >300Mbit Down speed..
my current SXT LTE6 speed is like 50/40 and i am more into DL speed.. and hope that i will get over 100 mbps DL speed… definetely.. the UL speed is not to be disregard ..
i just got my new LGH CAT18 antenna and i’ve tested it immediatelly.
So, not so happy …
this is with no bands chosen - default settings and i am getting like 25-30/60 DL/UL mbps
This is if i have chosen only band 7.. i am getting like 65/60 mbps DL/UL…
i did not aligned the antenna yet… in a sense.. i did not try to find the best or better base station location but plan to do it in the near future.
Pls, correct me but CAT18 is not having much sense to buy it resp it is not giving much (like 30-50%) higher speed.
I know that it is a matter of the internet carrier and how it is enabeling the speed resp connection but … anyhow.. i assumed it would be especially in DL much faster.
and looks like you have very strong signal, but signal quality is so so.. SINR looks very bad.. do you have direct vision to the tower available?
in my country CA works only when you start utilizing connection.. so run speedtest, and you should see CA bands too.
B20 is useless, switch it off..
You can cell lock your primary band to B7, and then CA with B3. CA is always set by provider.

Hello and joy to you all.
I live in an urban area and want to buy a rooftop device for 4G network. Is there a problem with LHG LTE18 if the central 4G antenna is 330 meters away? Does it do for short distances or should the distances be longer?
