Auto detect internet

Hello all!

My internet provider install a router in my home. There is a special function in the router: I can enable a port 4 bridge. When i enable this option I can install another router in my home that gets an public ip and i can manage all my network in this second router. I have this working with an asus router.

Now I want to replace my asus router by a mikrotik, in this case an hap lite. But I can’t put it to work. I try to configure ether1 (wan) as a dhcp client but this doesn’t work. I also try to use the auto detect internet in the web page of the router but didnt worked.
Does anyone can give me some help?
Thanks

I’m in Portugal and my internet provider is NOS (The internet arrive at my home by coaxial cable)

A word of advice: just disable “detect internet” feature … if you know which port of your router connects towards internet, then this function doesn’t add any value … but can screw things up in random ways if it doesn’t work right.

I suggest you to reset your router to defaults, then use QuickSet only once to make initial setup. If you have to adjust any further detail, do it in WebFig (or, if you’re using WinBox, using regular UI style) and never go back to QuickSet.
