Backbone wireless - OSPF vs bridge

Hi,

It’s time to make some changes.

So i’m wondering which better solution is for my wireless backbone network.

  1. OSPF routing + EoIP (or VPLS) - with redundancy links.

Currently used (with EoIP). Approx 90 routers in the same OSPF area … and growing.
Why single area ? I have no idea how to connect routers which are in different ospf area.

  1. Bridged network + VLANs + traffic filtering (eg. only PPPoE discovery and PPPoE session packets allowed) - with RSTP

I think it will be better choice for my network. am i wrong ?

Any suggestion will be welcome.

I think a routed network is almost always better than bridging.
