hello there,
i have bought weeks ago :
1 x RB532 + 2 x R52 WLAN interface each interface is connacted to a omnidirectional and directional antenna.
i have pretty weak signals. i have tested with networkstumbler within an radius of 500 meters and the signal is -85 db.. (tested with an laptop)
both antennas are on a tower with a distance of 1 meter.
when i scan how strong the signal both of them are they seach each other
its not better than -43 db!!
is it maybe an r52 issue as previously posted here?:
http://forum.mikrotik.com//viewtopic.php?t=9826
i need really help.
thank you very much for any suggestions.
btw: the configurations are the default one!! - in all cases the
antenna a is switched to active (antenna b makes no sense)
greetings from vienna/austria

-43 is an ideal signal, most of the users here never see it
-85 is very bad signal.
treat this reading as a thermometer. the closer to 0 it gets, the better. but i don’t think it goes over -40 ever.

to normis ;
I know there is know problem . Problem on my wireless routers which is not working steel. Configuring 100 Ciisco routers with EIGRP,OSPF,BGP,ISIS,IGRP,RIP is very easy than this routers .But unfortunatelly problem is not with configuration. Your routers don’t want to work .

Hello people,
I thing better is you leave all config when you did not understand, as default config wireless just set SSID, Band, Freq and IP and add cilent to access-list, we used RB+AP with Omni 15dbi and stations RB+Plat antenna 19dbi running since 9 months ago.... and range distance 4,5km and 2,5km to make supply them.... yesterday we closed little problem
Hi friend and Sergejs
is possible to that command?
we don't have factory-default.backup
reload backup file by creates first
from two days ago our wireless almost every 20s disconnect and reconnect.... we have around 4,5km normaly work fine with bad signal[-79 ] 2,4ghz, only from now is problem, than for temporary all client move to other ap [not mikrotik].
thanks all
