Hello - let me know if this post is in the wrong place.
I’m wanting to test bandwidth between two routers that aren’t on site with each other, via their ipsec tunnels.
They are connected via ipsec tunnels on multiple vlans. For simplicity, I’ll post some pertinent data below.
All IPs listed can ping each other. Internal to Internal. Internal to external. Endpoint to all.
Router 1:
External IP: 14.14.14.14
Internal IP: 192.168.0.1
Router 2:
External IP: 13.13.13.13
Internal IP: 10.1.1.1
Endpoint on this network: 10.1.1.2
Testing:
btest from router2 to 14.14.14.14: 1000 Mbps
btest from router1 to 13.13.13.13: 1000 Mbps
btest from router 1 to 10.1.1.1: can’t connect
btest from router 2 to 192.168.0.1: can’t connect
btest from router 2 to 10.1.1.2 (mikrotik btest local app): 1000 Mbps
btest from endpoint to 10.1.1.1: 40 Mbps
btest from endpoint to 192.168.0.1: 1500 Kbps
Visually: (equally confusing, apologies)
