BGP Peer limitation?

CCR2116-12G-4S+ version 7.20.8

functioning as a Hub for wireguard vpn and iBGP peering.

when BGP sesions reached ~260 noticed that bgp sesions is not establishing from branches.

wireguard interfaces are up, i can ping hub and any resourse if i add static route. but BGP sesion still does not bring up.

i have captured packets and observed that hub is reseting wast majority of tcp179 packets after it reaches nearly 260 establishid sesions. ( distributed to 100 bgp processes )

cpu and memory utilization on that routers barely exceds 2%.

does it have some kind of limitation for bgp peering ? any known issues on these ?

aproach seems helpfull. i will try different variants

changing input and output afinity workd as all bgp sub process are not eating all available sub process slots.

but sitll getting tcp reset for bgp sesions after ~260 established peers
