Hello to all i have Mikrotik router OS 2.9.6 i am providing internet through hotspot now i faced a huge problems i dont have big bandwidth. All clients have limited bandwidth but i want to set limit numbers of connection on spcific destination ip i.e www.rapidshare.com because some client using download manager with 16 connection at a time i want to stop a using a lot of connection on spcific destination ip & port how to i set limit of connection plz reply me thanx in advanced
If you are sure that the problem is the number of connections to a destination IP address, you should try and implement proper QoS that equalizes clients bandwidth, no matter how many connections each client has. But the problem could be a little different, as there are a lot of problems with the Wi-Fi itslef. So tell us more about what’s happening, to look further into it.

P.S. Here’s the changelog (first post, attached .rar, open txt with WordPad) from ver 2.9 upto the latest release of ver. 2.9.51, if you find a feature that has been fixed that you are using, you should consider updating the RouterOS version.

He was using dynamic queues, i made him use static queues with burst rate settings to avoid extra usage of bandwidth.
